When you choose Decision entry, the decision entry screen shown in the Player's Manual appears. If you have not entered a decision set, the default entries on the screen are values from your decision set for the previous quarter, otherwise they are the most recent values entered for the quarter. For your first set of decisions, Year 3, Quarter 1, the default values are the same ones that were used to generate the reports for Year 2, Quarter 4 (see the BPG Player's Manual, Appendix C). Decision values are entered by moving the cursor to one of the variable fields in the window and entering the new value for that variable. Use the mouse to select a field or move the cursor to the next field by pressing <TAB> or move it back one field by pressing <Shift-TAB>. If you should enter a value outside of the range permitted by the rules of the simulation, an error message will appear in a dialog box, suggesting the range of values that you may enter. When you click OK, the cursor will be returned to the field in question. For information on a specific variable and the range of values which may be entered, click on the heading of the field for that variable and context sensitive help will appear. . When you are satisfied that your firm's decision set has been entered correctly, click the Save button in the lower right corner of the form.. All values from the screen will be checked for conformation to the rules of the game. If any values fall outside of the permitted ranges you will be returned to the decision-entry screen with the cursor located in the field in question. A dialog box will identify the problem. Additional help can be obtained by pressing the <F1> function key. If the values pass the test, your decisions will be saved. |
