Plant Closing

To close a plant in an area, enter -1 under new plant construction for the area.  See Closing a Plant in Chapter 8 for details on plant closing.  This is an important decision and should be considered carefully before it is implemented.  If you enter -1 to close a plant, you also must deactivate all available production lines at the same time.  The plant and production equipment then will be sold.

Limits:  0 or -1, -1 closes the plant in the area

Note:  Once a plant is closed, it will be sold and may not be reopened!  A new plant must be built in order to produce again in the same area.
